1) Handwashing

5) Providing Mouth Care with Teeth 

6) Providing Mouth Care with Dentures 

7) Transfer (bed to wheelchair)

8) Changing an Occupied Bed 

9) Feeding the resident 

10) Performing passive ROM (elbow and wrist) 

11) Performing passive ROM (shoulder) 

12) Performing passive ROM (hip, knee and ankle) 

13) Partial bed bath 

14) Perineal care 

15) Catheter care 

16) Measure and record pulse 

17) Change of position 

18) Hand and nail care 

19) Urinary drainage care 

20) Ambulation 

21) Foot care  

The State Board Exam fee is currently $155, but the State Board of Nursing may change this fee in the future. This single fee covers both the computer-based multiple choice test and the clinical skills test, where you will demonstrate three randomly selected nursing skills.Addition Charges 

Level 2 Fingerprinting and Background Check All Healthcare Professionals are required by law to have a Level 2 Fingerprinting and Background Check. This must be done before you are scheduled for your test and before you can start working. 

     Challenger 

• An exam challenger is someone who takes the State exam without completing the 120 hours of State-approved training required. 
• A Challenger takes the same State exam as the other students who attended longer programs and are issued the same Florida C.N.A. license if they can successfully pass the examination.
•  Candidates will be given 3 attempts to pass both portions of the C.N.A. examination before they are required to attend a 120-hour State approved C.N.A. training program.
• You are not required to take any course prior to challenging the exam. However, even if you have experience as a nurse assistant, challenging the exam can be quite difficult.
• You will be assigned to perform 3 of the skills and be observed by a nurse evaluator.
• Successful completion of each skill is required in order for you to pass, miss one thing and you will fail.
