Live Scan fingerprinting is an innovative digital fingerprinting process that captures fingerprints electronically, eliminating the need for ink or paper. During your appointment, typically available as convenient mobile appointments, each finger is scanned using advanced imaging technology, resulting in clear, high-resolution fingerprint images that are submitted electronically for background checks.

After your fingerprints are captured, they are securely encrypted and sent to the appropriate agency, such as the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) or other authorized state or federal organizations. If required, we can also print your fingerprints onto FD-258 FBI fingerprint cards or other mandated fingerprint forms. It's important to note that fingerprint quality can vary from person to person; factors like age, frequent manual labor, dry skin, or exposure to certain chemicals can make fingerprints harder to capture. Our trained fingerprint technicians utilize professional-grade Live Scan equipment and established techniques to obtain the highest quality images possible, thereby reducing the likelihood of rejected submissions or processing delays.

Every Live Scan transaction is assigned a unique Transaction Control Number (TCN), serving as your reference number and allowing you to track the status of your fingerprint submission when applicable.
