Basic Life Support Training

Basic Life Support (BLS) is a crucial category of medical assistance used in emergencies to help individuals experiencing life-threatening situations such as cardiac arrest, respiratory distress, or airway obstruction. BLS highlights the importance of promptly identifying emergencies, delivering high-quality CPR, using an automated external defibrillator (AED), and managing choking incidents. This method is designed for healthcare professionals and trained responders, including those who have completed CPR training and First Aid training, to maintain circulation and respiration until more advanced medical interventions can be administered, ultimately increasing a patient's chances of survival.

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is a critical life-saving procedure that combines chest compressions with rescue breathing, making it an essential aspect of Basic Life Support. Chest compressions are crucial for maintaining blood circulation to vital organs, while rescue breaths deliver oxygen to the lungs. In situations where a person's heart or breathing has stopped or is severely compromised, CPR can help circulate oxygenated blood to the brain and aid in restoring normal breathing until professional medical assistance arrives. Completing CPR training as part of your First Aid training equips individuals with the skills needed to respond effectively in emergencies.

First Aid

First Aid refers to the prompt assistance provided to an individual who has sustained an injury or experiences a sudden illness before professional medical help arrives. It includes vital skills such as halting bleeding, addressing burns, managing sprains, aiding individuals who are choking, and reacting to allergic reactions or various emergencies. First Aid training is essential for those looking to learn how to stabilize a person and prevent the worsening of their condition. Additionally, Basic Life Support techniques, including CPR training, may also be taught to ensure comprehensive preparedness until more advanced medical care can be provided.
